Meet Khalid

I didn't start in an office. I started in a driveway, working on cars at home before I ever got paid for it. That's what led me to Firestone, where I came on as a general service tech and worked my way up to a full technician role in about a year. I was still new and inexperienced, learning as I went. Things really changed for me when I moved up to the front counter as a service advisor. That's when I realized I didn't just love cars, I loved explaining what was going on to the person standing in front of me, in plain language, without the runaround.

From there I spent years seeing this industry from every angle. Dealership service departments at Honda, Saturn, and Land Rover. National chains like Firestone and AAA. Local independent shops around Richmond. Every stop taught me something different about how shops operate and how technicians get pressured. More than anything, I saw how often buyers get left in the dark about what they're actually purchasing.

After watching one too many people find out the hard way that a car wasn't what it seemed, I started RVA Mobile Pre Purchase Inspections. Twenty-five-plus years in the industry, a Virginia State Safety Inspector license, and an ASE background all led to one simple idea: buyers deserve someone in their corner, not the dealers or sellers, before they buy.

I'm a family man first, and I've called Richmond home for over 30 years now. This isn't just where I do business. It's my community, and being part of it matters to me as much as the work itself.

When I'm not under a car or texting a buyer back, you'll probably find me watching the Knicks (Knicks in 5) or out on the water fishing. If you run into me around town, don't be surprised if the conversation turns to either one.
